Dr. George Weston decided to become a physician out of a deep commitment to helping other people, and chose the field of cosmetic surgery specifically to help those who are insecure or unhappy about the way they look. Dr. Weston completed medical school at the University of South Alabama in Mobile and trained for General and Plastic Surgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He achieved distinction in his cosmetic surgery fellowships at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and the Charlotte Plastic Surgery Center in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Robert Sigal graduated from medical school at Jefferson Medical College after finishing his undergraduate studies at the prestigious Harvard College. His General Surgery residency, during which he was named chief resident, was spent at Harbor/UCLA. During his residency, Dr. Sigal did two years of research on cancer at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Sigal currently serves as our Medical Director at The Austin-Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Byron Poindexter joined The Austin-Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery following a distinguished academic career. He graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University’s undergraduate program and the prestigious IU School of Medicine, during which time he received several academic and service awards and various scholarships.
Dr. Pointexter’s general surgery training took place in the renowned program of the University of Florida, and he completed plastic surgery training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
